Autism Awareness Giveaway Hop!

April is Autism Awareness Month.
To help spread the word about Autism we are hosting a giveaway hop.

I am a public school teacher at a school that has several ASD classrooms, so I have had the opportunities to meet, talk to, and work with children with autism. I have also had a handful of students, varying in abilities, become part of my classroom throughout the years in order to give them more time to socialize with children that do not have ASD. I realize that not many people have had the opportunities that I have had, and therefore may not have as good of an understanding of what autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder, is and what these kiddos are like. I wish more people had this opportunity, because what we don't know about can sometimes scare us or make us nervous and I have come to learn that there is nothing to be scared of or nervous about when it comes to these kids.

An unsettling statistic was recently released this year in March: 1 in 88 children are born with some form of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

It affects too many children and families for us to pretend its not out there.

For my giveaway I am giving away a $10 gift card to Amazon.
Enter on the Rafflecopter form below!

On the form, I have included many different ways to enter that help spread awareness of autism.

  2. I was a teacher and taught several students with some form of Autism over the years. I did not have many resources to fall back upon. Glad to see the Awareness campaigns. Thanks for participating in the hop and for the giveaway opportunity.
