Camille Ellis has gone rogue agent, and there’s no turning back now. The conclave might have put the Charybdis case to bed, but Cam isn’t willing to let it lie. No badge doesn’t mean no backup these days.

As mate to an alpha warg, she has access to new and lethal resources. A whole pack full of them. And they all want justice for the sins committed against them.

But the stakes are higher than she knows, the secrets exposed darker than she feared, and the cost of winning higher than she ever imagined.
Review:

I've said that both the earlier books in the Gemini series felt like serials, even though they are actually full length novels. Hell or High Water, the series finale, just feels bigger. Camille finally learns all the secrets that her family and the conclave have been keeping. She also learns why she was targeted by Charibdis, the Fae serial killer she's been chasing throughout the series. And I was really not expecting it.

I love that Edwards reveals more of the warg (werewolf) culture, as Cam settles into her mating with Graeson and the two of them bond with their new pack. She also introduced a few new Fae creatures, which I have been enjoying her take on throughout the series. And we get to meet some more of Cami's Gemini family including her cousin Theo, who's quite different from his twin Isaac.

What bothered me about the story was the ending. For an HEA, it was kind of a downer. I don't think Cami's story is completely over though. The epilogue both ties back in to the Black Dog series, from which Gemini is a spin off, and sets up the next spin off. Cami's BFF Dell really came in to her own in this book and she will be the main character in the Lorimar series. It looks like both Cami and Thierry from Black Dog will still be making appearances.

I've enjoyed both of these series from Hailey Edwards. I love her unique take on werewolves and the Fae, and the fact that they are quick reads I can binge in a day.
