Wow - two years! That's pretty crazy! I've met a lot of really wonderful bloggers and readers in the past two years and have learned that I'm not the only crazy person who likes to read about things that go bump in the night...and in your bed! I've also met some really cool authors. Some were new favorites who were so down to Earth and others were such big authors to me that I was left star struck!
To celebrate my second blogoversary I thought I'd switch things up a bit. All this week I will be the one interviewed!
I've asked some of my favorite authors and bloggers to pick my brain and boy did they come up with some interesting questions! Some went the serious route and threw one big question at me, while others wanted to know a series of things about my reading life. Others still - and you know who you are - took a bit of a less serious route.

On to day four! Today, Jenese from Readers Confession has some great questions for me - some serious and some...not so serious!
Here are Jenese's Interview Questions For Me:
1.
Favorite PNR series
Cat and Bones will always be my number one
answer, even though that series kind of straddles between PNR and UF. I’m
loving the London Steampunk series by Bec McMaster and the Darkest London
series by Kristen Callihan though. They both just have that extra something
that keeps my attention that most PNRs don’t have.
2.
What are your guilty book pleasures?
Honestly, those two series above really feel like
guilty pleasures when I read them. Also, anything YA because they are so easy
to breeze through.
3.
What book had the best sex scene you've read? :-)
I love the scenes between Chess and Terrible in City of Ghosts. First, their hate
sex…..then the famous bathroom scene. Two completely different sex scenes that
are just crazy intense.
4.
Who is the male that you always envision as your hero in books?
Hmm…..I don’t think its really always one guy. My
brain takes the details the author gives it, but sometimes I picture the guy a
little differently than he’s supposed to look. But it’s a little different with each hero.
5.
What are some of your book rituals?
I like to snuggle in on the couch in the living
room or the futon in our den. ‘Snuggle in’ includes my dog laying on the pillow
my head is on, me completely covered by my favorite blanket, and some sort of
drink on the table next to me. J
6.
#1 book or series you ALWAYS recommend?
I try to make everyone I know read Downside, but
I also understand that its not really for everyone. I also push the Fever
series because its just so epic!
7.
Biggest fan girl moment.
Meeting Karen Marie Moning! She did a book
signing an hour away from me and my BFF and I went. She was SO kind and
incredibly intelligent. She really knows her shit!
Thank you to Jenese for interviewing me!
Enter to win a copy of BITING BAD by Chloe Neill!
US/CAN only.
If I had to choose just one series, it'd have to be Tamora Pierce's Tortall books. Amazing YA historical fantasy with girl power.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's Mercy Thompson. I love Downside as well, but you're right - it's not for everyone!
ReplyDeleteDownside! I mean, if I didn't love it so much I wouldn't have met you! :-) Also, Karina Halle's Experiment in Terror
ReplyDeleteThey Psy/Changeling Series!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that's a tough one. There are so many no way I can pick just one. My tops are Kate Daniels, Downside and Darkest London.
ReplyDeleteI really have a bunch of #1's that I recommend but here is a couple: Christine Feehan's (all of them), Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter and the League, Lora Leigh's the Breeds, Jacquelyn Frank's (all of them), Angela Knight's Mageverse, Lynsay Sands' Argneaux Vampires, Kerrelyn Spark's Love at Stake. Well that should give everyone an idea. evamillien at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteThe Kate Daniels or Mercy Thompson series ;) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe "Anita Blake" series by Laurell K. Hamilton or "The League" series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Love them both!
ReplyDeleteMy #1 series is Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin, and then it's Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock and Keri Arthur's Riley Jenson series.
ReplyDeleteHmm...that's hard. I like Christine Feehan's dark series, all of Kresley Cole's, Donna Grant, and Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. I also really like Nalini Singh's angel series.
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
Lori
Patricia Briggs, Kresley Cole, Karen Chance's Cassie Palmer series and Fever series by Karen Moning. Damaris dsr002(at)gmail(dot)com

I am sorry but I could not narrow down my favorite series to just one. I have too many. So some of the ones that come to mind that I would recommend would be: Kim Harrison's Hollow series, Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series, Ilona Andrews Kate Daniel series, Marjorie M Liu's Dirk and Steele series and Kresley Cole's The Dacian's series.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite series is A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin but I also love Kim Harrison's The Hollows and the Anita Blake books!
ReplyDeleteThe Hollows by Kim Harrison.
ReplyDeleteThe Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews
