Welcome to the Top 10 of 2011, hosted by Confessions of a BookaholicA Life Bound by BooksfiktshunTwo Chicks on Books!!! I am very excited to participate in this weeklong event to share my faves of 2011! Here is the schedule for this week:

Tuesday 12/27 – Top 10 Book Covers of 2011
Wednesday 12/28 – Top 10 Book Boyfriends in 2011
Thursday 12/29 – Top 10 Characters in 2011
Friday 12/30 – Top 10 Books I’m looking forward to in 2012

It's all very exciting, isn't it?!?!? So, here is the second Top 10 of the week:

These are my most favorite book covers of 2011, in no particular order:

by Kendare Blake

This cover is beautiful and totally fitting to the story. Not only is the black and white with a splash of red creepy, but the image of the back of Anna matches with the first time the reader meets Anna in the story.

Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter #3)
by Nalini Singh

I heard talk of this cover before I had even read the first book in the series! Her wings are just absolutely stunning and the colors are rich and luscious. I admit that the model is a little more girly looking than how I actually picture Elena, but she is quite striking nonetheless.

Darker Still (Magic Most Foul #1)
by Leanna Renee Hieber

I love the combination of rich purple and shiny gold on this cover. And the model is stunning and enticing at the same time. And the border going around the edge has intricate detail that just adds that extra little touch.

Blood Rights (House of Comarre #1)
by Kristen Painter

I had difficulty choosing which of the three gorgeous covers in this series I wanted to put on this list, however I really think this first cover is the most beautiful because its not too much. The gold on the model's back is really pretty and intricate when you see it in person.
Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1)
by Tahereh Mafi

Yowza, this book was good. Mafi's writing style is unlike anything I have ever read before, and I loved every second of it! I connected with Juliette and adored Adam. A must-read for YA fans!

My Life As a White Trash Zombie (White Trash Zombie #1)
by Diana Rowland

Of course, I was intrigued by the cover and title of this book. Thankfully, this was not a case of "pretty outside, crappy inside". Angel is an effed up character who has made some seriously bad choices in her life, but I immediately loved her and felt connected to her.

Dead on the Delta (Annabelle Lee #1)
by Stacey Jay
My Review

I love the darkness of this cover and the model is really a dead-on picture of Annabelle! Everything about it fits with the story and sets the tone before you even open to the first page.

The Space Between
by Brenna Yovanoff

Something about this cover is so intriguing to me. The red and silver is a beautiful combination and the look on the model's face is unsettling.

Shadowfever (Fever #5)
by Karen Marie Moning

I wish you could see how ridiculously awesome this cover looks, but it just doesn't translate well on a computer screen! The cover is actually clear with the beautiful red and gold design on it, and underneath is the picture of the woman with the black wing tattoos. It is very fitting of the epicness of the story!

Everneath (Everneath #1)
by Brodi Ashton

I don't even know what is happening to this beautiful dress on this cover, but I absolutely love it. The colors, the dress, the er...smoke? Love it.
