There is a series that I LOVE that doesn't get much attention by other bloggers, so I wanted to share it with you!

The Charlie Madigan series by Kelly Gay

This is one of my all time favorite urban fantasy series, and one of the best in my opinion. The characters are great, the world building is superb, the action is awesome. . . . .need I say more?

Welcome to Atlanta...

Thirteen years ago, scientists discovered two parallel planes of existence, hellish Charbydon and heaven-like Elysia. The beings in these worlds inspired our myths of angels, demons, gods, and monsters.

They’d been visiting us for thousands of years, using our world as a battle ground and neutral zone, interfering in our lives, speaking our languages, doing good works and miracles, and committing horrible crimes. And now we know the truth. Elysia and Charbydon, and the beings in them, aren’t the things of Sunday school lessons and Hallmark figurines. And since the discovery, they’ve integrated into our society, working among us, becoming law-abiding or lawbreaking citizens.

Atlanta is home to the largest off-world sector in the country. Underground has expanded and is now home to a dense population from Elysia and Charbydon.

And it's Charlie Madigan's job to keep the peace...

My favorite character from the series is Hank, who is deliciously manly and cocky and everything an urban fantasy hero-who-doesn't-want-to-be-a hero should be. Although Charlie and Hank don't exactly jump in the sack right off the bat, the slow and sexy build up of their attraction is entertaining to say the least!

“For the record,” he said, looking up at me with a crooked smile, “this is not how I pictured removing your pants for the first time.”

“That confidant, are we?”

His smiled filled out, deep and brimming with humor. “When something is this inevitable. Yes.”
