2020 Reading Challenge Recap: Rose Red's Romanceopoly 2020

Ever since the Great Reading Slump of 2018, us Weres have been a little worried about how our yearly reading challenges would go. Add in a pandemic and we really weren't sure if we would read any books, let alone read books that would count for our challenges. We did way better than we thought we would! We did so well that we're setting high expectations for 2021. To see which challenges we're doing this year, check out this post.

Over the next week, we're going to be wrapping up how we did with each of our challenges. Today, Rose Red is going to be wrapping up her Romanceopoly 2020 challenge and sharing her favorite reads from it.

My goal for Romanceopoly 2020 was to achieve the Adventurer Level and go around the board once. So at the beginning of the year I concentrated on completing the challenges for the Moon pack. But 2020 being what it was, had me reading way more than I expected to. I reevaluated where I was about July and realized that I could maybe go around the board twice so I started the Sun pack.

I'm excited to announce that I finished both packs last year for a total of 78 books read! I kind of can't believe it because I struggled in 2019 going around the board once. I will admit that I was reading like crazy on New Year's Eve to finish up my last couple of books for the challenge. I read so many new-to-me authors and I got invested in a few new to me subgenres (hello! Mafia romances!). I'm also really happy that a lot of my reads for this challenge were queer books! I had so much fun reading for this challenge! I definitely have some authors and series that I'm excited to continue on with in 2021.

For this wrap-up, I'm going to share every single book I read for each pack and the titles in bold were my favorite reads for each. I'm going to limit myself to five faves for each of my boards.
