Top 5 Wednesday: Books Featuring Witches

Top 5 Wednesday is a Goodreads group hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. Bloggers, booktubers and bookstagrammers post on a common topic every (you guessed it) Wednesday. You can find the lists by searching #T5W or Top 5 Wednesday. And you can join the group on Goodreads if you want to participate.

This week's topic is:
Books Featuring Witches

5. Blood Kissed by Keri Arthur
Spooky small town, werewolves, vampires and Keri Arthur. That's a recipe for success already, but add in something I hadn't seen from her before - witches, and I'm really excited about the Lizzie Grace series. Book two is coming out soon.

4. Grave Witch/The Alex Craft series by Kalayna Price
Alex Craft is a grave witch. She raises the shades of murder victims to find out who killed them, sometimes on behalf of the police department and sometimes as a P.I. Her world is intertwined with the Fae who make everything more complicated, but also more interesting.

3. Blood of the Wicked/ The Dark Mission series by Karina Cooper
This PNR series, set in a dystopian Seattle, features witches and a society of witch hunters. It's one of our favorite underrated series. You can see why in Rose Red's RTFB post.

2. Red-Headed Stepchild/The Sabina Kane series by Jaye Wells
Sabina Kane is half vampire, half mage (so what if they don't actually call them witches) and has one of the best sidekicks ever, the demon Giguhl who's sometimes disguised as a hairless cat. Goldilox reviewed the series as part of a read-along in 2013. You can find those posts here.

1. Dead Witch Walking/The Hollows series by Kim Harrison
The Hollows is a classic, one of the defining series of Urban Fantasy. Rachel Morgan starts out as a witch pursuing supernatural criminals, but ends up being so much more. Her world includes demons, vampires, weres, elves and pixies just to name a few. Plus another one of my fave sidekicks, Jenks.

What are your favorite books about witches?
