Read This F@!%ing Book! (2)

Welcome to a new feature I'm going to post from time to time called:

Read This F@!%ing Book!

This is a feature for me to push my favorite reads that just aren't getting enough attention!

I'm also opening it up to anyone who would like to guest post. Do you have a book that you just LURVED but feel like its not getting the play it deserves? Email me to let me know and I'd be THRILLED to have you post about it here! Especially if its something I haven't reviewed yet - that's even better! If you're interested email me:
Gildardc10@hotmail.com

Today's post comes from Jen at The Book Nympho:

Me and Reading button by Parajunkee

Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) Web of Lies (Elemental Assassin, #2) Venom (Elemental Assassin, #3) Tangled Threads (Elemental Assassin, #4)
Spider’s Revenge (Elemental Assassin, #5) By a Thread (Elemental Assassin, #6) Widow’s Web (Elemental Assassin, #7)

(Click title to go to Amazon)

Why I'm pushing it: This is the first series that has grabbed me in a long time to where I HAVE to read the next book NOW.

Why I love Gin: She’s a kick ass assassin. I mean when the book starts with the heroine stabbing a guy in the balls while undercover in a nut house. Score!

Gin Blanco is an assassin with a heart of gold. She thinks her heart is black but when it comes to her family and friends she will do anything to keep them safe.

I am about 50% through the 4th book, Tangled Threads, and I’m here to tell ya that so far all these books have been 5 stars for me. I know other bloggers like Amber I. from Awesomesauce Book Club, Carmel from Rabid Reads and Jen from Red Hot Books have read the 1st book, Spider’s Bite, and they all have rated it with 5 stars as well. And in the case of Carmel and Jen who have read more if not all of the books keep giving the books 5 star ratings like me. So you know with that many 5 stars flying around this a book series you need to F@!%ing read NOW!

Note: If you are an audio book fan you should try this series out. The narrator is great.

That’s it. That’s my Read This F@!%ing Book to add!

  2. This is one of my favourite series. So glad to see there are others out there spreading the word!

Jennifer Estep has a nice interview with her audio book narrator on her blog right now: http://www.jenniferestep.com/2012/10/guest-blog-lauren-fortgang-on-audiobooks/

  3. Thanks Jenn for reminding me about the interview with the narrator. Estep told me on Twitter she was doing this but I didn't remember what day she said. I'll have to check it out.

  5. I actually have this series on my TBR. I don't read a lot of UF but I am thinking of starting in the New Year. This is probably one of the first series I will be looking at. I've heard great things about it, and to me it sounds really compelling. Great pick. :)

  6. I'm a Gin fan too. Thanks for the tip about the audiobooks. They can really make a great difference. I really like the narrators for the Kevin Hearne Iron Druid books (can you imagine the voice of an Irish wolfhound? Luke Daniels comes up with a great one.) and J.D. Robb's Eve Dallas books. I love Peabody's voice and you don't even notice that Roarke's voice is being done by a woman.
